Yes, we charge a service fee in addition to the DMV fees. We’re a third-party company here to help facilitate your DMV transactions. We’ll help you navigate the confusing DMV paperwork, review for accuracy and issue your registration and new plates on-the-spot.

You do not need an appointment to use DMV services at Wendy’s Auto Express and in most cases, we can issue plates and registrations the same day!

Yes! We have DMV computers in-house and will be able to issue new plates and registrations on-the-spot. We can also issue commercial plates, motorcycle plates and trailer plates the same day.

Yes! At Wendy’s Auto Express we can renew your registration for you. Just bring in the following:

1. Proof of Identity (NY License, or 6 points of ID), or Proof of Corporation for business registrations
2. License plate number
3. MV82 form

To register a vehicle, you will need the following:

1. Proof of Identity (NY License, or 6 points of ID), or Proof of Corporation for a business
2. Title
3. Insurance in your name
4. Bill of Sale (if it’s a new purchase)

If you purchased the vehicle from a private party, including a gift, you will also need the following DMV forms:

1. DTF 802
2. MV82

DMV fees vary based on the size of your car and the county you’re registering it in. Registration fees average $180 – $250 plus taxes and fees for a 2-year registration. The DMV fees do not include our service fee. Our service fee covers reviewing your paperwork, processing your paperwork and issuing your new plates.

Absolutely, we are specialists in all DMV work, on water and on land! We can help you with new registrations and renewal registrations.

Boat registrations have a one to two week turn-around. When you come to Wendy’s, we will collect all the documentation from you, review your paperwork, process it correctly and call you when your registration is ready.

To register your boat, or water vessel, bring in the following:

3. Title, or transferable registration

To renew the registration of your boat, or water vessel, bring in the following:

Yes! We can order you a duplicate title. When you come, bring in the following:

1. Proof of Identity (NY License, or 6 points of ID), or Proof of Corporation for a business
2. MV902 form

Yes! For $25, simply bring in your plates along with the registrant’s last name and we’ll surrender them for you. We’ll issue you an FS6T on-the-spot to provide your insurance company.

If you lost one of your plates, we can still help you surrender them. Bring in the plate that you do have, along with the registrant’s last name and we’ll surrender them for you.

Yes! We can still surrender those plates for you. Prior to coming in, you’ll need to go to your local police department to get an mv-78b for lost, or stolen plates. Bring in your original mv-78b along with the registrant’s last name and we’ll surrender them for you.

Yes! We can issue you replacement plates on the spot. To do so, bring in the following:

1. Proof of Identity (NY License, or 6 points of ID), or Proof of Corporation for a business
2. The old plates
3. MV82 form

If you don’t have your old plates, please go to your local precinct and get an mv-78b form for lost, or stolen plates.

You can use a NY state issued license as 6 points of ID. If you don’t have a NY state issued license, please reference the following list for different types of ID that qualify. Click to Download

Unfortunately, we do not do anything with drivers licenses, permits or ID cards. You would need to visit your local department of motor vehicle for those types of DMV transactions.

While we specialize in DMV transactions, we cannot help with tickets, or moving violations. You would need to visit an actual DMV, or county where the ticket was issued to resolve this problem.
